Group shot spots

More often than not these days, wedding photography is all about the more candid, natural shots of you and your guests enjoying your day, which we’re huge fans of. But let’s face it, we all need one or two formal photos for the family album.

We often get asked where the best places are at Netherbyres for more formal group shots, so here’s a round up of some of the top spots our couples picked in 2021.

Indoors

We’ve got plenty of colourful and patterned backdrops – you can even pick one to match with your bridal party…

Deneka‘s bridesmaids perfectly coordinated with the bright yellow walls in our sunny entrance.

As did Elliot and his groomsmen with the blue lounge walls.

And the mural wall in bedroom seven makes for a perfect picture backdrop, which Helen and her bridesmaids took advantage of.

The Grand Hall has been a popular indoor photo spot, especially for these microweddings where all of the guests could gather by the stairs.

Outdoors

With our extensive grounds, the options for photo locations are pretty endless.

A popular spot last year was the flower bed in front of the house (especially when our dahlias are in bloom!)

Or, we’re not short of trees and bushes if you’re partial to a more natural backdrop.

We’re looking forward to seeing what locations our couples and photographers choose this year.
