2026 Grand Hall Gallery

Our current Grand Hall Gallery Artist is Kent based abstract landscape artist Hollie Savory. As soon as we stumbled across Hollie’s artworks on Instagram we knew they were a bit of Netherbyres, so we jumped at the chance to ask her if she’d be interested in displaying her pieces in our Grand Hall.

Meet Hollie

Artist Hollie Savory

“A trained Fashion designer with over a decade of experience in the industry I chose to put down my tape measure and pick up my paint brushes again in late 2021, setting up my studio to pursue my dream of becoming a professional artist. I have since gone on to exhibit in Art exhibitions and galleries across the country. I have also completed many private commissions from small Contemporary landscapes to large abstract pieces, with paintings finding homes locally and as far afield as Australia.

Colour plays a pivotal role in my work, how colours interact and work with and against each other, in both what I see and within my memories of a place. Capturing light and refracting it into pure blocks of colour, spontaneity and memories of place captivate me. My background in fashion heavily influences my use of colour and my eye for spotting unusual combinations within the landscape. Often laying down colours in multiple layers and taking away to reveal unexpected colours below.

Living in the countryside, I am drawn to the expansive agricultural landscapes. Natural patterns such as crop lines or the rolling contours of the terrain continually inspire. My work captures the rhythms of the land, capturing the shapes and forms within it. The ever present sky, a constant source of inspiration and personal comfort, plays a crucial role in my work. My work moves between landscapes and more intuitive abstracted works, playing with colour and form. Texture and mark making are important parts of my work, revealing and concealing underlayers add to the richness of the works, much like the landscapes I depict. When painting landscapes I try to paint not only a view, but also my thoughts and feelings whilst walking within the landscape.”

We currently have five of Hollie’s artworks on display and available to purchase. Her bright and bold landscapes with accents of hot pink work so well with our decor. See photos and details of each of the pieces below.
